    Product overview for Yale Assure Locks "Connected by August" — smart lock functionality (auto-unlock, remote access, voice control) added to Yale's Assure Lock and Assure Lever product families via the August app.

    Overview

    Yale's "World's Favorite Lock," now Connected by August: lock and unlock, share access, and see who comes and goes from anywhere using the August app. Compatible models include the YRD216/416, YRD226/426, YRD256, YRL216, and YRL226.

    Unlocks Automatically The lock unlocks as you approach, when you have your phone on you (auto-unlock via Bluetooth proximity)
    No Phone? No Problem Unlock using your entry code on the backlit keypad
    Works With August Lock, unlock, share access, and see who comes and goes using the August app from anywhere (requires Wi-Fi and August Connect)
    Be Sure It's Locked Includes DoorSense™, a sensor that confirms the door is securely closed and locked (DoorSense must be installed)
    Just Use Your Voice Lock, unlock, and check lock status with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri
    Locks Automatically Can be set to auto-lock when the door closes (requires DoorSense) or after a set period of time

    Compatible Models

    Works with all Assure Locks and Assure Levers, including: YRD216 | 416, YRD226 | 426, YRD256, YRL216, and YRL226.

    Requirements

    • August app (iOS/Android) for remote access, sharing, and activity log
    • Wi-Fi and August Connect hub required for full remote/anywhere access
    • DoorSense sensor must be installed for door-closed detection and auto-lock-on-close
