X10 PSH01 — Power Horn Remote Siren Installation Manual

Installation and testing instructions for the X10 Power Horn Remote Siren (PSH01), a 110dB plug-in alarm siren that triggers from X10 commands sent by a security system console or remote controller.

Installing the Power Horn

• Set the House Code wheel to the same house code as the security system. Note: the house code for the security system is set by the security installation firm during download — the default is "A" when using a PRO2000 security panel.
• Set the Unit Code wheel to the same code as the security light from the PRO2000 download. If the owner doesn't want the Power Horn triggered whenever the security light activates, the installer can reconfigure the console to send a separate All Lights On/All Units Off sequence during an alarm instead of flashing the security light — then the Power Horn's unit code can be set to any other unused code so it isn't triggered by the security light.
• Plug the Power Horn into a convenient AC outlet — preferably an unswitched one, so it can't be accidentally turned off.

Testing the Power Horn

• Repeatedly press the ON button followed by the OFF button (at least twice each) on any X-10 controller or remote (e.g. a PHC01 Mini Controller) set to the same House Code and Unit Code as the Power Horn. After the siren starts, it continues for 4 seconds after the last command is transmitted.
• Trigger the security system by pressing the PANIC button on the console or a remote. The Power Horn activates automatically within 4 seconds of the alarm trigger and continues for around 4 seconds after the system is disarmed.
