Installation instructions for the Video Mount Products (VMP) CH-001B and CH-002B glass shelf wall mounts — a wall-mounted glass shelf and support arm system for placing electronic components.

    Overview

The CH-001B/CH-002B is a wall-mounted glass shelf mount consisting of a wall plate, support arm, and tempered glass shelf, designed to hold an electronic device (such as a cable box, media player, or similar component) near a wall-mounted display. Multiple units can be interconnected for stacked shelf configurations.

    Parts List

    2 Support Arm 1

    Installation Steps

    1. Lay out all parts and match them against the parts list above; verify you have everything before starting assembly.
    2. Attach the glass shelf (#3) to the support arm (#2) using the flat head screws (#7), plastic washers (#8), and nylon nuts (#9).
    3. Mark the wall or mounting surface. If mounting to wooden studs, pre-drill pilot holes using a 7/32" drill bit. Mount the wall plate (#1) using the M8 lag screws (#10), ensuring the interlocking tab on the wall plate faces upward. If connecting multiple units, mount the wall plates so they interconnect. Wall plugs (#11) are included for drywall mounting if needed.
    4. Insert the support arm (#2) into the wall plate (#1), pulling it completely down so it seats properly. Optionally secure it further with the drywall screw (#12) in the arm's center hole.
    5. Attach the plastic covers (#4, #5, #6) to the wall plate (#1). If running cables through the mount, snap off the breakaway portion of the top cover (#6) and bottom cover (#5) first, then route cables.
    6. Place the electronic device on the glass shelf (#3). A safety/security strap (VMP-STRAP, sold separately) can be used to further secure the device.

    Safety Warning

The installer must verify that the mounting surface (ceiling or wall) will safely support the combined weight of the mount, mounting hardware, and any attached equipment, and that the surface is safe to drill through. Only mounting hardware for wooden studs and drywall is included; other surfaces require additional hardware not supplied with the unit. If in doubt, contact a professional installer.
