    Installation guide for the VidaBox VB-OWLB On-Wall Tablet Mount (Base) — a direct wall-mount enclosure base designed to work with a separately purchased matching cover to permanently mount a tablet on a wall.

    Important Note

    This part includes the BASE of the wall-mount enclosure only. You must also purchase a matching COVER for the enclosure — the cover can be swapped later. See the cover's own instructions for additional information.

    Installation Steps

    1. Position the base. Place the base piece on the wall where you plan to permanently affix it. Confirm you're happy with the position before proceeding — do not affix it to the wall yet.
    2. Mark anchor positions. With the base held in position, take one of the included wall screws and press it firmly into each of the 4 anchor positions to leave an imprint on the wall.
    3. Install wall anchors. With the 4 anchor positions marked, install the 4 included wall anchors at those marks.
    4. (Optional) Install a gang box. To provide space for charging hardware (such as a VidaPower adapter), install an electrical gang box in the center of the 4 anchor locations before mounting the base.
    5. Mount the base to the wall. Using the 4 included button head wall screws, install the base piece onto the wall.
    6. Connect power and install the tablet. If a power solution is in place, connect it now to confirm it's working. To prevent scratching/marring the tablet, use a screwdriver to remove the 4 metal retaining screws from the base, insert the tablet, then reinstall the 4 retaining screws.
    7. Attach the cover. Align the separately purchased cover onto the base, making sure the 7 mechanical snap buttons line up. Press firmly until the cover snaps into place. Installation is complete.

    Accessing the Tablet Later

    To remove the cover, apply pressure to its edges and lift it away from the base. The 7 mechanical snaps will release, giving access to the tablet underneath.
