Overview

This is a to-scale door prep template for the U-tec Ultraloq UL3 BT Series smart lock. It shows the exact hole spacing and diameters needed to prep a door for installation, for both right-hand and left-hand opening doors. Print at 100% scale (do not "fit to page") and hold against the door edge/face to mark drilling locations.

Key Dimensions

• Backset spacing: 2¾" (70mm) and 2⅜" (60mm) — covers both standard backset options
• Cross-bore hole diameter: Ø2⅛" (53mm) — for the latch/deadbolt body
• Template marks the "cut this part" cutout area to guide precise boring through the door face

Usage Notes

• Print at actual size. Most PDF viewers default to "fit to page" scaling, which will produce inaccurate hole placement. Verify the printed template against a ruler before drilling.
• Align the template against the door edge, matching backset (2¾" or 2⅜") to your door's existing prep or desired lock position.
• Mark and pilot-drill before cutting the full-diameter cross bore to avoid tear-out.
