Manufacturer's suggested cleaning recommendations for the SuperEar Assistive Listening Device — Models SE4000, SE5000, SE7500, and SE9000.

    What's Included

The SE4000, SE5000, and SE7500 are each packaged with stereo headphones and one pair of foam ear pads already in place on the headphones. Optional headphones are available for separate purchase with the SE9000.

    Replacement Parts

    • Additional foam ear pads: $12.95 per 20 pair, available from the manufacturer.
    • Optional/replacement headphones: $12.95.
    • Sanitary ear pad covers (for infection control): available in bulk packs of 100 covers for $20.00.

    Cleaning & Infection Control

    • In a hospital or long-term care environment, the foam windscreen covering the boom microphone (SE4000 only) may be discarded if desired — this has no impact on sound quality but permits easier cleaning.
    • After each use by a patient, the ear pad covers can be removed and discarded.
    • If desired, the headphones and transmitter may be cleaned with a light application of an alcohol-based disinfectant before replacing with new ear pad covers.
    • It is always best to consult with your Infection Control Officer regarding proper cleaning procedures.
