    Product overview, dimensions, and technical specifications for the STI NoTouch® Stainless Steel Button family — a touch-free IR exit/door release button designed to help reduce the spread of germs in public buildings.

    Overview

    The NoTouch® Stainless Steel Button applies infrared detection technology to eliminate the need to physically touch a button to open a door — a person simply waves their hand in front of the device, and the infrared sensor detects the motion and unlatches the time-adjustable door release. It's ideal for public buildings of almost any kind.

    Three standard models are available: OPEN, EXIT, and the international "running man" exit symbol. Custom labeling/printing is also available from STI's corporate and international offices.

    How It Works

    The button ships with a red LED indicating standby; it changes to green when active. Wave a hand in front of the red illuminated button and the color turns green, indicating the door has released. The color scheme can be reversed on site (green = standby, red = active) if preferred.
