STI-30104 Lamp Controller — Installation & Operation Manual

Installation and operation manual for the STI-30104 Lamp Controller — turns on a lamp anytime a connected STI Wireless Alert Series Receiver is triggered, so your home never looks empty when you're away.

Overview

The STI-30104 Lamp Controller plugs into a standard wall outlet, and a lamp plugs into the controller. When paired with an STI Wireless Alert Series Receiver (sold separately), the controller automatically turns the lamp on whenever the receiver's output is triggered — for example by a doorbell or motion sensor — so you can "let others think you are home" even when you're not.

Installation

1. Unplug the existing lamp from the wall outlet.
2. Plug the Lamp Controller into the wall outlet.
3. Plug the lamp into the Lamp Controller, matching the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot, and insert fully.
4. Plug the jack from the Lamp Controller into the back of a Wireless Alert Series Receiver (sold separately).

Operation

1. Set the mode: ON (manually turns the lamp on), TIMER (activated by the receiver), or OFF (manually turns the lamp off).
2. Set the on-time: Choose how long the lamp stays on each time the receiver is activated — 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or ∞ (stays on indefinitely until manually reset). To manually reset, turn the timer switch to OFF then back to TIMER.
3. The red LED lights whenever the Lamp Controller is powering the lamp.

Note: The Lamp Controller is triggered by a 3.5–12V DC, 1-second pulse. The jack is a 1/8" mono audio plug (negative tip).

Warnings

• For indoor use only. For use with 250-watt or less incandescent lamps.
• Cannot be used with 3-prong grounded plugs.
• When using with a lamp, keep the lamp away from bed coverings, curtains, or other materials that could present a fire hazard.
• Do not connect to heaters or other heat-producing appliances.
• Keep away from water and damp areas. To prevent electric shock, match the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot and fully insert.
