    Safety Warning

Before installing and operating this product, the owner and/or installer must read, understand, and follow the manufacturer's instructions and keep them handy for future reference. All electrical connections must be made by a qualified electrician, according to the electric and building codes effective in your region. Do NOT connect this product to a supply source other than 120 VAC or 240 VAC, and do not exceed the load limits specified. Protect the heating system with the appropriate circuit breaker or fuse. Regularly clean dirt accumulations on the thermostat — do NOT use fluid to clean the thermostat air vent. Do not install the thermostat in a wet place (installing it in insulated walls is allowed).

    Installation Overview

Before installing the KI thermostat, ensure the breaker has been turned off and remove the old thermostat if necessary. Fix the back plate to the connection box, connect the thermostat wires (2-wire or 4-wire, depending on your heating system), properly place the wires in the junction box, then align and secure the thermostat before turning the breaker back on.

    Advanced Settings Menu

Advanced settings can be accessed directly on the thermostat by pressing and holding both buttons for 3 seconds. The menu includes seven numbered settings:

    1. Z-Wave connectivity
    2. Display format (°C or °F)
    3. Heating mode (fan or baseboard)
    4. Lock mode
    5. Outdoor temperature display
    6. Backlight intensity
    7. °Stelpro menu

To modify a setting: enter Advanced Settings (hold both buttons 3 seconds), select the desired menu 1–7 (press Up/Down), enter the menu (press both buttons), change the setting value (Up/Down), and confirm (press both buttons). To exit advanced settings at any time, press and hold Up and Down for 3 seconds; the thermostat also reverts to the main screen automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity.
