    Quick installation guide for the Speco Technologies O8FB7M — a Flexible Intensifier® Technology 4K bullet IP camera with motorized 3.6–11mm lens and included junction box.

    Safety Precautions

    • If liquid or solid matter gets into the housing, disconnect power immediately and have the unit checked before reuse.
    • Avoid installing in extremely hot, cold, or high-humidity locations, or where exposed to gas or oil.
    • Never dismantle the camera unless certified — no parts inside need user maintenance.
    • Do not point the camera directly at the sun.
    • Avoid dropping the unit or exposing it to shock during transport or handling.
    • Never touch the camera with wet hands.
    • Do not expose the camera to radioactivity — it can seriously damage the image sensor.

    The OSD cap (opened with the included 2.5mm L-wrench) provides access to the micro SD card slot, factory reset button, and CVBS output.

    Installation

    Mounting to Wall

    1. Drill four screw holes on the wall or junction box plate to fit the four supplied plastic anchors.
    2. Fix the plastic anchors in the holes.
    3. Position the bracket on the screw points.
    4. Fix the bracket by tightening the four screws.

    3-Axis Adjustment

    • Panning 360° — slightly loosen the pan bracket nut, adjust pan, then re-tighten.
    • Tilt 0° ~ 100° — slightly loosen the tilt bolt using the included L-wrench, adjust tilt, then tighten firmly.
    • Rotation 360° — slightly loosen the tilt bolt, adjust rotation, then tighten firmly.

    Network Setup

    1. Connect the camera via LAN switch/router to the network for local access, remote access, and email/FTP alerts.
    2. Open IP Scanner to search for the device on the local network (only devices on the same subnet are discoverable). The camera ships in DHCP mode by default.
    3. In the device list, view each camera's IP address, model number, and MAC address. Select the device and double-click to open the web viewer.
    4. Alternatively, open a browser and enter the camera's IP address directly in the address bar.
    5. Enter the username and password when prompted. Default username: admin. Default password: 1234.
    6. If prompted, allow installation of the Active-X plug-in — required to view video in Internet Explorer.
