    Owner's manual for the Speco Technologies O2VLB2 Full HD IP Bullet Camera — a multi-codec (H.264, MJPEG) network camera with built-in IR LEDs, IP66-rated housing, and PoE support.

    Overview

    The O2VLB2 integrates traditional camera and network video technology to enable real-time transmission of synchronized full HD video. Built-in IR LEDs provide suitable imaging in low-light environments, and the IP66-compliant housing supports outdoor installations. Built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet) reduces the wiring required during installation.

    Installation

    Important: Make sure the installation surface can support a minimum of 3 times the weight of the camera.

    1. Put the installation template on the designated surface (wall or ceiling).
    2. Drill holes according to the positions on the installation template.
    3. Open the accessories bag, take out the expansion bolts, and insert them into the drilled holes.
    4. Take out the screws and tighten the 4 screws to fix the device to the installation surface. The sun shield can be adjusted — tighten its screws when finished.
    5. Connect all applicable wiring properly.
    6. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the adjusting screw.
    7. Adjust the device to point at the desired angle.
    8. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws.

    IP Scanner

    The IP Scanner utility searches for the device on the local network (only devices on the same subnet can be discovered). The device list shows the IP address, model number, and MAC address of each device found — select the applicable device and double-click to open the web viewer.

    Web Operation

    Open a browser and enter the camera's IP address in the address bar, or double-click the device in IP Scanner. At the login screen, enter your username and password — default username is admin and default password is 1234. For security, change the password after initial login. After logging in, follow the prompts to install any applicable browser plugins.

    FAQ / Troubleshooting

    Water leakage has occurred Removal of the front or rear cap may result in water leakage; check for heavy impact to the glass front cap or a loosened waterproof plug on the rear cap.
    IR video is poor Insufficient power may prevent the IR LEDs from functioning properly; the object may be outside the IR distance range of the device.
    Cannot log in to the web viewer ActiveX control may be blocked; graphics card may need DirectX 8.1 or higher; check network connection, network setup, and username/password.
    Settings updates After modifying important camera settings, reboot the device to ensure the new settings are applied.

    Important Safeguards

    • All installation and operation must conform to local electrical safety codes; use a certified/listed 12VDC Class 2 power supply only. Do not connect two power sources to the device simultaneously. The product must be grounded to reduce shock risk.
    • Avoid heavy stress, violent vibration, or water exposure during transportation, storage, and installation.
    • Do not apply power before completing installation; install a proper power cut-off device during connection.
    • Installation, examination, and repair should be done only by qualified personnel; unauthorized changes could void the warranty.
    • Install in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources; avoid extreme temperatures and electromagnetic radiation (which may cause CMOS sensor failure); don't block ventilation openings or allow water/liquid intrusion.
    • Before maintenance, shut down the device and unplug the power cable. Do not touch the CMOS sensor optic component — use a blower for lens dust. Use a dry soft cloth (or slightly dampened with neutral detergent) to clean the device; use professional optical cleaning methods for the enclosure to avoid impairing IR functionality.
