Complete user manual for the smanos L020 D.I.Y. Home Security Alarm System, covering setup, remote control operation, sensor zones, app pairing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and specifications.

    Introduction

The L020 is a totally D.I.Y. home security solution that automatically connects to its included accessories for all-round home protection. Key features:

    • Easy to operate — connects to your network within 10 seconds, controllable by app, supports entry/exit delay and two groups of timed arm/disarm.
    • High reliability — 1,000,000 built-in RF code combinations; built-in 105dB siren.
    • Expandable — standby over 10 hours; supports up to 10 remote controls and 30 wireless detectors.

    How It Works

A paired door/window contact detects when a door or window is opened → the system (managed via remote control or the mobile app) sounds the alarm and sends a push notification → the alert reaches the user's phone.

    Power On and Network Setup

Connect the control panel to power and your router. Wait until the status indicator stops blinking and stays solid — this confirms an Internet connection. The control panel should be installed centrally or in an open area for best RF performance, away from load-bearing walls or home electronics that could cause signal attenuation. Note: without power (even on battery) or with a cut network cable, the panel can still sound its local siren on alarm, but cannot push notifications.

    Remote Control (RE2300)

    Button Function
Arm Press once to arm — siren beeps once, red indicator confirms armed state.
Disarm Press once to disarm — siren beeps twice, green indicator confirms disarmed. System still alarms immediately if a 24-hour zone sensor or tamper switch triggers.
Stay (home arm) Press once for home mode — siren beeps once, blue indicator confirms. Home-mode zone sensors are disarmed so you can move freely.
SOS Control panel hoots on-site and an emergency message is sent via the app.
Mute arm Press Stay (indicator blinks once), then press Arm within 3 seconds to arm silently.
Mute disarm Press Stay (indicator blinks once), then press Disarm within 3 seconds to disarm silently.

If the remote's LED flashes twice quickly and dims after any button press, the remote's battery is exhausted.

    Zone Modes

    • Normal zone: detectors work as expected when armed or home-armed; trigger an alarm on intrusion.
    • Home mode zone: disarmed while the system is in home-arm (Stay) state, so residents can move freely; other zones remain armed (partial arm).
    • 24-hour zone: always active — triggers an alarm immediately regardless of arm state. This mode can't be changed.

The included DS2300 Door/Window Contact ships in Normal Zone mode by default (changeable via the app).

    Door/Window Contact (DS2300)

Contains a transmitter and a magnet mounted on a door, window, or any openable object. When the transmitter and magnet separate more than 2cm, the contact signals the panel.

    • LED blinks once — door/window open detected.
    • LED blinks once every 3 seconds after triggering — low battery; a push notification is sent. Replace the battery promptly.
    • Pressing the tamper switch triggers an immediate alarm.

Installation: choose a suitable location (use a spacer on metal doors), then secure the contact with the included double-sided tape, keeping the triangle marks on the transmitter and magnet aligned and within 1cm of each other.

    App Operation

Download the "L020 Alarm" app from the App Store or Google Play. The control panel must be powered by its adapter (not just batteries) to stay network-connected. During pairing, ensure your smartphone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the control panel. The app lets you Arm, Disarm, Home-Arm, pull-to-refresh, and reconnect to the network remotely.

    System Settings (via App)

    • Edit Accessory: rename up to 10 remotes and 30 sensors (paired sensors default to sequential zone numbers) and change working mode (except 24-hour zone sensors).
    • Wireless Siren: if purchased, configure alarm function and arm/disarm tone.
    • Exit/Entry Delay Time: lets you leave/enter without carrying a remote. A beep sounds every 2 seconds as a reminder, speeding up in the final 15 seconds.
    • User Deletion: input the control panel's ID number to delete all users.

    Pairing / Deleting Accessories

Pairing a new remote or sensor: tap [+] on the accessory screen to send a pairing signal, then trigger the accessory (press any remote button, press a sensor's test button twice, or separate its transmitter/magnet). One beep from the panel means success; two beeps means it was already paired. Don't trigger a sensor's tamper switch during pairing or it will be misidentified as a 24-hour zone sensor.

Pairing a wireless siren (sold separately): put the siren in pairing mode, then arm/disarm the panel via the app to send the pairing signal.

Deleting sensors/remotes: use the reset pin to hold the reset button for ~3 seconds until one beep sounds. Deleting a wireless siren: press and hold its pair button until one beep sounds.

    Reloading Accessory Batteries

    • RE2300 remote: remove the rubber cover, loosen the screw, open the case, and change the battery.
    • DS2300 contact: open the case and change the battery.

    Restoring Factory Settings

Use the reset pin to hold the reset button for about 7 seconds — a beep sounds in the first 3 seconds; keep holding until a second beep is heard, then the panel restores to factory defaults. Accessories remain paired after a factory reset.

    Troubleshooting

    Problem Reason / Solution
Panel doesn't respond to app operation Check local network; make sure the panel is powered by its adapter.
Remote control doesn't work Confirm pairing succeeded; check distance to the panel.
Door/window contact triggers but panel doesn't alarm Confirm system is armed, contact is paired, and it's within range.
No alarm sound Check volume isn't muted; reset alarm ring volume in the app.

    Maintenance

    • Keep the system and accessories out of children's reach.
    • Keep dry — moisture can corrode electronic circuits.
    • Avoid dusty or dirty storage locations.
    • Avoid high temperatures (shortens component life, can damage batteries/plastic parts) and cold storage (can cause condensation damage on warm-up).
    • Test the system regularly and troubleshoot promptly.
    • Check accessory batteries regularly and replace when low.
    • Ensure uninterrupted power supply via a reliable outlet; avoid disturbing bedrooms/offices with sirens; cut power if unused long-term; clean dirt with a soft, slightly damp cloth (mild alkaline detergent for stains), then dry thoroughly.
