    Full text manual (for reference)

Instruction manual for the Skylink R3-T4 4-button keychain remote control, compatible with Skylink R3 series gate/garage door receivers.

    Introduction

The Skylink R3T4 keychain remote allows you to operate up to 4 different Skylink R3 series receivers. The package includes a keychain remote control with a 12V alkaline battery already installed.

    Programming

In order for this remote to operate your receiver, you must "learn" it to your receiver. Follow the instructions for your specific receiver model:

For R3G Receiver (add remote to auto-assigned location)

    1. Press ADD — the display shows 0 0 0, the default memory location.
    2. Press ADD again to select the memory location.
    3. Press the button on the remote you would like to use to operate the receiver.
    4. The receiver emits 3 beeps and the remote is confirmed programmed. The display then shows the next available memory location.
    5. Press DISP twice to exit, or add another remote by pressing its button.

For R3R Receiver (learn remote control)

    1. Press and hold the Learn button — the red LED flashes.
    2. Activate the remote control by pressing the button you would like to use to operate the receiver. The red LED on the R3R stops flashing and remains on when the remote is programmed. This confirms the remote is programmed to the receiver.

    Operation

Pressing the learned button will activate the programmed receiver.

    Battery Replacement

Uses one 12-volt alkaline battery, Type 23A (included). It is time to change the battery when the red LED on the transmitter does not turn on when either button is pressed, or the operating range starts to decrease.
