Installation instructions for the Skylink PS-MT Motion Sensor, compatible with SkylinkNet and the M-Series Alert/Alarm System.
Installation instructions for the Skylink PS-MT Motion Sensor — a battery-powered wireless motion sensor that monitors movement around your premises, compatible with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub and Skylink M-Series Alert/Alarm System.
Note: The AA alkaline battery for the sensor is not included and must be purchased separately.
You can program up to 4 sensors total in one zone. If you try to program a fifth sensor into the same zone, the first sensor programmed will automatically be removed.
Programming the sensor with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub must be done from the SkylinkNet mobile app:
Place the sensor in an appropriate location. It can be mounted with double-sided tape or screws in a corner, on a straight wall, on a ceiling, or set to stand freely by itself.
On the M-Series Alert/Alarm System, the corresponding zone LED on the Main Console will flash if a sensor failure occurs or the battery is low.
If a sensor failure occurs, try the following:
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| The M-Series Main Console does not respond to the sensor | You must program the sensor to the control panel before they can work together. |
| Can I erase just one sensor from a zone in the M-Series Main Console? | You must erase all sensors in that zone, then reprogram the sensor(s) you want to keep. |
| I have multiple sensors in a zone and the zone LED keeps flashing, indicating a sensor failure. How do I know which sensor is having the problem? | You need to test each sensor individually. |
