Skylink Magic Tap MT-200 — Remote Control Touch-Dimmer User's Manual

User's manual for the Skylink Magic Tap™ Model MT-200-xxx — a remote-control touch-dimmer for incandescent or halogen lamps, with a built-in night light.

Installation

Install as shown in the manual. For use with any lamp that uses an incandescent or halogen bulb only — this model is not for use with fluorescent lamps. Be sure the lamp switch is turned on before installing the Magic Tap between the lamp and its power source.

Changing Lamp Brightness

There are two ways to change lamp brightness, each cycling through the same four states:

• Remote control: Press for about a second (range approx. 50 ft). 1st press = Dim; 2nd = Medium; 3rd = High; 4th = Off.
• Tap of the fingers (near top center of the unit): 1st tap = Dim; 2nd = Medium; 3rd = High; 4th = Off.

Additional Features

• The keychain remote control can be wall-mounted anywhere using the included plastic holder.
• The built-in night light can be set to "Normal" or "Low" using the slide switch on the bottom of the unit.
• It is normal for the Magic Tap to feel slightly warm to the touch during normal operation.
• Do not use the Magic Tap with another dimmer in the same circuit. Do not use near water.
• If adding a second MT-200-xxx in your home, select a unit with a different channel (A, B, or C) to avoid interference — each remote is matched to a specific Magic Tap unit.
