    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation instructions for the Skylink GS-MT Garage Door Sensor — a tilt-based sensor that monitors garage door status and works with the Skylink M-Series Alert/Alarm System and the SkylinkNet Internet Hub.

    Package Contents

    • Garage door sensor (1)
    • Double-sided tape (1)

Note: An AAA alkaline battery for the sensor is not included.

Section 1 — Insert a Battery in the Garage Door Sensor

    1. Press both sides and open the cover of the garage door sensor.
    2. Insert an AAA battery in the sensor and close the cover.

Section 2 — Programming the Sensor with the M-Series Main Console

Note: You can program up to 4 sensors in one zone total. Programming a 5th sensor removes the first sensor.

    1. Press the learn button on the back of the M-Series Main Console for 3 seconds until the Zone 1 light flashes.
    2. Zone 1 is selected by default — press the learn button to select the zone you want to program the sensor to.
    3. Activate the sensor by tilting it from vertical to horizontal.
    4. Once programmed, the Main Console beeps once and the corresponding zone LED turns off.

Section 3 — Programming the Sensor with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub

Must be done from the SkylinkNet App:

    1. Go to "More" and tap "System Settings".
    2. Tap "Setup Wizard".
    3. Tap "Add Device".
    4. Tap "Sensors".
    5. Tap "Garage Door Sensor".
    6. Name your sensor and location, then tap "Continue".
    7. Tap "Learn Now" and follow the video prompts to activate the sensor.

Section 4 — Testing the Sensor with the M-Series Alert/Alarm System

    1. Slide the switch at the back of the Main Console to Alert Mode.
    2. Activate the sensor by tilting it from vertical to horizontal — the Main Console starts beeping and flashes the Zone LED.
    3. Tilt the sensor back from horizontal to vertical and the alert sound will stop.

Section 5 — Testing the Sensor with the SkylinkNet Alarm System

    1. Activate the sensor by tilting it from vertical to horizontal — the blue icon turns red, indicating the garage door is open.
    2. Tilt the sensor back from horizontal to vertical — the red icon turns back to blue, indicating the garage door is closed.

Section 6 — Installing the Garage Door Sensor

Ensure the mounting surface is smooth and clean. Mount the sensor near the top panel of your garage door using the included double-sided tape, with the arrow on the sensor facing left.

Section 7 — Battery Indication / Sensor Failure

On the M-Series Alert/Alarm System, the corresponding zone LED on the Main Console flashes if a sensor failure or low battery occurs. If a failure occurs, try the following:

    1. Check that the sensor is located where it should be.
    2. Check for any physical damage to the sensor.
    3. Move the Main Console closer to the sensor — if the red LED stops flashing, the Main Console or sensor needs to be relocated.
    4. Replace the sensor's battery if the Main Console does not respond when the sensor is activated within short range.

    Troubleshooting — M-Series Alert/Alarm System

    Problem Solution
The M-Series Main Console does not respond to the sensor You must program the sensor to the control panel before they can work together.
Can I erase just one sensor from a zone? You must erase all sensors in that zone, then reprogram only the sensor you want to keep.
Multiple sensors in a zone; zone LED keeps flashing (sensor failure) — how do I identify which sensor? You need to test each sensor individually.
