Use only a Class 2 power adapter, 9VDC, 300mA. Connect the phone as shown in the manual's wiring diagram; lift the handset to test for a dial tone.

Amplifying Incoming Sounds

Automatically

1. Slide the Amplifier Auto On/Off switch (underside) to ON.
2. While on a call, adjust the Volume switch to a comfortable level.
3. Adjust the Tone switch until incoming voice is clear — only needed the first time; the setting is remembered for future calls.
4. The phone automatically returns to this amplifier setting on every future call.
5. To turn off the amplifier, press the Amplify button; press again to restore the previous setting.

Manually

1. While on the phone, press Amplify to turn the amplifier on (it lights up).
2. Adjust Volume to a comfortable level.
3. Adjust Tone until incoming voice is clear (only needed once; setting is remembered).

Programming & Dialing One-Touch Memories

1. Lift the handset, press PROG.
2. Dial the phone number to save (max 15 digits).
3. Press PROG again.
4. Press the memory button to store the number under, then hang up.
5. To dial, lift the handset and press the appropriate memory button.

Automatic Off-Hook Alert

The HD-60 alerts you when any phone on the line has been left off-hook too long — a condition that blocks new calls from coming in or going out. The HD phone detects the line's warning signal and alerts with loud rings and bright flashes. Check that all handsets are properly on their cradle.

Wall Mounting

1. Slide out the handset hook, turn it upside down, and reinsert — this keeps the handset in place when wall-mounted.
2. Fit the wall mount bracket into the base of the phone.
3. Connect the short phone cord. Align mounting holes over the wall plate screw heads (adjust screw protrusion with a screwdriver if needed) and slide the phone downward slightly to lock it in place.

• Do not contact moving parts or exposed metal surfaces.

• Do not use outdoors or near water (bathtubs, sinks, wet basements, pools).

This equipment uses RJ-11 jacks and is hearing-aid compatible. Any modification not expressly approved by the manufacturer may void your authority to operate the device. Not for use on coin service; party-line connection is subject to state tariffs.

Warranty Service Information

One-year limited warranty from date of purchase to the original consumer, covering defects in materials and workmanship under intended home use. Return the unit (freight prepaid) with proof of purchase to Serene Innovations for repair or replacement. Free return shipping within 30 days of purchase; a $9.95 handling charge applies for returns made after 30 days but within the warranty period. Does not cover accidental damage, misuse, incorrect voltage/frequency, or unauthorized alterations/repairs. Obtain a Return Authorization Number (RAN) before shipping.
