Complete operating guide for the Serene Innovations HD-60 high definition amplified telephone.
Operating guide for the Serene Innovations HD-60 High Definition Amplified Telephone — a wall/desk-mountable amplified telephone with adjustable handset volume and tone control, memory dialing, and a low-battery/hold indicator, designed for hard-of-hearing users.
Use only a Class 2 power adapter, 9VDC, 300mA. Connect the phone as shown in the manual's wiring diagram; lift the handset to test for a dial tone.
The HD-60 alerts you when any phone on the line has been left off-hook too long — a condition that blocks new calls from coming in or going out. The HD phone detects the line's warning signal and alerts with loud rings and bright flashes. Check that all handsets are properly on their cradle.
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Phone doesn't ring or rings very softly | Check the ringer volume switch on the side is set to HI or MED (not LO). |
| No dial tone | Check all cord connections; test the wall outlet with another phone; if still no tone, contact your phone company. If another phone in the house works, contact Customer Care. |
Complies with Part 68 and Part 15 of the FCC Rules (Class B digital device) and Canadian ICES-003 / Industry Canada requirements. A label on the equipment lists the FCC registration number and Ringer Equivalence Number (REN); the REN for this phone is 0.9B. The sum of RENs on one telephone line should not exceed 5.0. This equipment uses RJ-11 jacks and is hearing-aid compatible. Any modification not expressly approved by the manufacturer may void your authority to operate the device. Not for use on coin service; party-line connection is subject to state tariffs.
