    Specification sheet for the Sensaphone Ethernet to WiFi Adapter (FGD-0250) — an accessory that adds wireless connectivity to any network-based Sensaphone.

    Overview

    The Ethernet-to-WiFi Adapter (FGD-0250) is a high-speed, long-range outdoor 802.11n Wireless Bridge/Access Point that operates on the 2.4GHz band, making it an ideal solution for adding wireless connectivity to any wired network device. It features an IP65-rated weatherproof housing for continued operation in harsh outdoor environments and climates of extreme cold, heat, or continuous moisture. Also included is a proprietary PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) kit comprised of a PoE injector and power adapter, as well as a mast mount kit with binding strap.

    How It Works

    1. The Ethernet to WiFi Adapter connects to the Sensaphone via an Ethernet cable, up to 300' away.
    2. The adapter connects to a wireless router via WiFi. Users program the adapter to connect to a WiFi network via downloadable software. Distance between the adapter and router is limited by WiFi signal strength, though much farther distances can be achieved using another adapter to strengthen the signal.
    3. The router's WAN communicates with the network, and communication proceeds to cloud-based monitoring — for alarm notification, programming, and access — as it normally would.
