    September 08, 2026 4 min read

Owner's manual for the SECO-LARM SLI-762PP-ISS Internal Security System, a passive proximity vehicle immobilizer that arms and disarms hands-free using a coded controller.

Owner's manual for the SECO-LARM SLI-762PP-ISS Internal Security System (Passive Proximity Immobilizer) — a fully automatic vehicle immobilizer that arms and disarms hands-free using a coded controller.

    How It Works

Just operate your vehicle normally — the system does the rest. Start the engine and go; when you turn the engine off, 60 seconds later the engine is automatically and completely disabled. An optional door sensor circuit allows the system to arm the moment you exit the vehicle.

The system automatically disarms when the properly coded controller is placed close to the ignition (as with a key fob), allowing the vehicle to start. The controller is coded with one of over 1 quintillion possible codes. If someone attempts to start the car without the controller, the engine won't turn over.

Personal ID Number (PIN): Included with the system is a card with your secret 3-digit PIN, required to enter valet mode, perform emergency disarm, or add new controllers. Do not lose the card — keep it in a safe place.

    LED Indicator States

    • Arming: LED flashes rapidly.
    • Armed: LED flashes about once per second.
    • Disarmed: LED is OFF.
    • Triggered: If someone tries to start the engine without the controller, the LED turns ON.
    • Code learning: LED turns ON then OFF to confirm a new controller has been learned.
    • Valet/override (ignition OFF): LED flashes, then flashes slowly; LED turns OFF when ignition is turned ON.

    Arming the Security System

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF — the LED will flash rapidly.
    2. 60 seconds later, the unit arms (unless the switch is turned ON again), and the LED flashes normally.
    3. If a door sensor is installed, exiting the vehicle and closing the door will cause the system to arm immediately.

    Disarming the Security System

    Normal disarm:

    • With door sensor installed: Within 60 seconds of opening the car door, bring the controller within 4–6 inches of the ignition and start the engine with your key.
    • Without door sensor: Bring the controller within 4–6 inches of the ignition. Within 60 seconds, start the engine with your key as usual.

Note: If more than 60 seconds elapses before the engine is started, turn the ignition OFF and bring the controller within 4–6 inches of the ignition again to get another 60-second window.

Emergency disarm: If you lose your controllers, use your secret PIN to put the unit into valet/override mode.

    Valet Mode & Emergency Disarm

The system automatically arms after you turn your engine OFF. If you need to temporarily disable arming (for repair, or if controllers are lost), enter valet/override mode:

    1. Make sure NONE of the controllers are within 18 inches of the ignition switch.
    2. While the LED is flashing (system armed), enter your PIN via ignition ON/OFF cycles, counting flashes for each digit — e.g. for PIN 503: turn ignition ON, then OFF and count 5 flashes, turn ON to enter digit 1; OFF and count flashes for digit 2 (0 = 10 flashes); OFF and count 3 flashes for digit 3.
    3. Leave the ignition ON — the LED flashes slowly after 10 seconds, confirming valet/override mode is active.

Exit valet/override mode as soon as possible to prevent theft of your vehicle. To exit, bring one of your controllers within 4–6 inches of the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to ON.

    Learning New Controller Codes

The system is factory-coded to the two controllers included in the package and can learn codes for up to five controllers total. This procedure deletes all existing controller codes — you must reprogram all existing and new controllers at the same time.

    1. Add the digits "55" to the end of your secret PIN to create the code-learning PIN (e.g. PIN 503 → code-learning PIN 50355).
    2. Make sure NONE of the controllers are within 18 inches of the ignition switch when starting.
    3. Turn the ignition switch ON (LED goes steady ON), then OFF and count flashes to enter each digit of the code-learning PIN, turning the ignition back ON after the correct flash count for each digit (0 = 10 flashes).
    4. After entering all 5 digits, the LED flashes rapidly then turns OFF.
    5. Within 10 seconds, place each controller near the ignition switch — the LED turns ON for 2 seconds to confirm each controller.
    6. Repeat for all remaining original and new controllers. After the fifth controller is learned, the system automatically enters valet/override mode.

Exit code-learning mode by: turning the ignition switch OFF, waiting more than 10 seconds without learning a new controller, or learning a fifth controller (which auto-enters valet/override mode).

    Power Up and Power Down

    • If power is removed while the system is armed, it reverts to the armed state when power is restored.
    • While driving (ignition ON), if main power to the immobilizer is cut, it will not affect the automobile.
