Installation manual for the SECO-LARM SD-7103GC-PEQ and SD-7103GC-PTQ (with timer) illuminated push-to-exit square button with slimline stainless plate.

Overview

The SD-7103GC-PEQ / SD-7103GC-PTQ is an illuminated push button reading "PUSH TO EXIT" (field-switchable to "PRESIONE PARA SALIR" in Spanish), built into a stainless-steel slimline plate. The PTQ variant adds a built-in timer module for delayed relay/buzzer output.

Installation

1. Run four or six wires through the wall to an outlet box: two wires for 12VDC or 24VDC power to the light, and two wires each from the N.O. and/or N.C. terminals of an alarm or access control system that can unlock an electrically-controlled lock.
2. Connect the included colored wires to the switch: RED to the "+" spade connector, BLACK to the "-" spade connector, GREEN to the N.C. connectors marked "1" and "2" (if needed), and BLUE to N.O. connectors marked "3" and "4" (if needed).
3. Connect the colored wires to the alarm/access control system and the light's power source:
   • RED and BLACK — to 12VDC or 24VDC source. For 24VDC operation, connect the supplied 680-ohm, 0.5-watt resistor in line with either the red or black wire.
   • GREEN — to the N.C. terminals of the alarm/access control system (if needed).
   • BLUE — to the N.O. terminals of the alarm/access control system (if needed).
4. Screw the plate into the back-box, taking care not to crimp the wires.

Changing the Message Plate (English ↔ Spanish)

Note: The green translucent switch lens can be removed for message plate replacement. Do this before connecting any wires.

1. If the steel plate is mounted on the wall, remove it first.
2. Disassemble the switch: pop off the clear plastic protector at the rear, unscrew the black plastic nut holding the assembly together, and remove the small black rubber O-ring.
3. Separate the switch assembly from the slimline steel plate.
4. Insert the end of a paper clip or similarly stiff wire into any of the four corner holes at the back of the black switch housing until the green switch lens pops off.
5. Replace the "PUSH TO EXIT" message plate with the "PRESIONE PARA SALIR" message plate, or vice versa. Be careful not to lose the rubber seal.
6. Snap the lens back on and reassemble the switch and plate assembly.

Wiring for SD-7103GC-PTQ (with Timer Module)

1. Connect the RED wire to the "+" spade connector and the BLACK wire to the "-" spade connector.
2. Connect 12~24 volts AC or DC power (non-polarity) to the power input terminal block of the timer module.
3. Connect an N.O. or N.C. device to the relay output terminal block as required.
4. Connect the positive and negative wires of a buzzer to the buzzer output terminal block if necessary.
5. Set the desired time of the timer module between 1~180 seconds via the VR rotary knob — turn clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease. Test to confirm the timer is set correctly.
