    • 1x Manual

    Installation

Note: For devices with non-standard DC plugs, DC plug adapters (not included) may be needed. Do not cut the DC plug cord, as this will void the warranty. To reach full power backup time, allow the unit's battery to charge for at least 24 hours.

    1. Disconnect the original power adapter from the device to be powered and plug it into the In-line Backup Power unit. The correct voltage will be automatically detected and the voltage indicator LED should light showing the correct voltage.
    2. Connect the In-line Backup Power unit's output line to the device to be powered. The voltage indicator LED should light within 5 seconds and the "power" LED should also be lit.
    3. To test the installation, unplug the adapter from the AC wall outlet momentarily. The yellow "Backup" LED should light and 5 short beeps will indicate backup mode has started. The device should remain powered. Continuous short beeps with a flashing red "alarm" LED indicate a low battery.

Note: If the In-line Backup Power unit is later used for another device, press the "off/reset" button before installation to allow it to re-detect the correct voltage.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Solution
Backup time is shorter than claimed On initial installation, ensure the battery has charged for 24 hours before testing backup time.
The power plug does not fit my unit You may need a power tip adapter (male and female) to connect to your device.
Device does not turn on when installed Check that all plugs are firmly connected, the AC outlet is live, the power LED is lit, and that the device's voltage is compatible (5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC). Check for a short or overload — the unit cuts power when detected. Press "Off/Reset" to reset voltage output.
During a power outage, power is not provided to the device Check for a short or overload, and ensure input voltage is 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC.
Alarm sounds (long beep) and red LED is lit Ensure the original power adapter is working, the device draws no more than 10W, and check for a short-circuit at the device.
