Overview

Each transceiver has a female BNC connector for the coax link, an RJ45 jack for the Ethernet/PoE connection, a Power LED (green), and a PoE Mode selector switch (End Span / Mid Span). Dimensions: 2⅝" x 3⁷⁄₁₆" x 1¹⁄₁₆" (67x87x27mm).

Typical Application

A PoE/IP camera connects via coax cable through a pair of Ethernet-over-Coax-with-PoE transceivers to a PoE switch/injector, replacing an old analog coax run with a modern PoE Ethernet link — no new cable pull required. A crossover Cat5e/6 cable is included and is required if the PoE switch/injector does not support "Auto MDI" or "MDI-X" mode, or if the mode is undetectable.
