    Installation manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER MVE-AH1H1-42YQ 4K Enhanced HDMI Long Range Extender — an active transmitter/receiver kit that sends video, audio, RS-232, and bi-directional IR over a single Cat5e/6 cable, with 1080p signals reaching up to 492ft (150m) and 4K2K/UHD reaching up to 394ft (120m).

    Installation

    1. Determine the transmitter and receiver locations and how much Cat5e/6 cable is needed.
    2. Connect an HDMI cable between the transmitter and the source device.
    3. Connect an HDMI cable between the receiver and the display.
    4. Connect the Cat5e/6 cable between the receiver and transmitter.
    5. Connect the included 24VDC power adapter to either the transmitter or receiver — only one power supply is needed for the whole set.
    6. For remote control of a device: plug the IR transmitter into the IR-OUT of the extender unit closest to the device being controlled, pointing it at the device's IR window; plug the IR receiver into the IR-IN port of the other extender unit, positioned so it can see the remote's signal. Maximum IR transmission distance is 26ft (8m) in a direct line of sight, reduced to about 16ft (5m) at roughly 45°.
    7. Optionally connect an RS-232 controller to the transmitter's RS-232 terminal and the controlled device to the receiver's RS-232 terminal.
    8. Optionally connect powered speakers to the receiver's Audio Out.
    9. Optionally connect a monitor to the transmitter's HDMI Loop Out.

    Notes: Use high-quality Cat5e/6 cable, especially at longer distances, and premium high-speed HDMI cables. Keep both cable types within the maximum lengths above.

    Troubleshooting: HDMI Device Does Not Function Correctly

    • Use T568-B wiring standard.
    • Make sure the maximum lengths are not exceeded for either the HDMI or Cat5e/6 cable used.
    • Test the Cat5e/6 cable between the receiver and transmitter to confirm it is functional.
    • Check for problems with the HDMI source, cables, or display by connecting the source directly to the display.
    • Make sure the transmitter and receiver are plugged into the correct units.
    • Make sure the HDMI source is compatible with the HDMI display.

    Warranty

    This SECO-LARM product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of sale to the original customer, limited to repair or replacement at SECO-LARM's option.
