    Installation manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER EV-1726 Series DNR/DWDR/IR NVD Bullet Camera with 4-Axis Mounting Arm — a low-light bullet camera with ultra-low 0.00006 Lux rating and interchangeable auto-iris lenses.

    Overview

    The EV-1726 Series is "3 cameras in 1," available in NTSC or PAL and with a choice of 2.8~12mm or 6~50mm auto-iris lens. Built around a 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD with an ultra-low Lux rating of 0.00006, it can see in near-total darkness thanks to 56 built-in 850nm infrared LEDs. On-screen display (OSD) is controlled by an internal joystick and includes a service monitor port.

    Note: Products with model numbers ending in "Q" or with a round green "Q" sticker are RoHS compliant.

    The 4-axis mounting arm's set screws can be loosened in three places to adjust the camera angle; the adjustment ring at the base can also be adjusted.

    Before Starting

    • Read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference
    • Use the camera within its stated temperature and electrical limits
    • Do not aim the LEDs directly at eyes when the LEDs are on
    • Do not point the camera at the sun — heat could damage it even when not in use
    • Do not mount in areas exposed to radiation, strong magnetic fields, or strong electrical signals
    • Do not open or disassemble the camera — there are no field-serviceable parts inside
    • Do not drop the camera or subject it to strong vibrations

    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC or 24VAC power supply wire and a video cable with a male BNC connector through the wall to the mounting location.
    2. Temporarily connect the camera to power. Do not cut the DC jack or the female BNC connector — doing so voids the warranty. Use the included SECO-LARM DC plug with terminal block if needed.
    3. Connect the included service monitor port connector to the service monitor port.
    4. Connect the service monitor port connector's BNC to a test monitor.
    5. While watching the monitor, hold the camera in place by hand and confirm the mounting location, then mark the four screw holes with a pencil.
    6. Mount the mounting plate and rubber grommet using the four included mounting screws (use screw anchors, not included, for drywall/brick).
    7. Mount the camera base to the mounting plate using the four included hex screws.
    8. Adjust the camera angle using the 4-axis mounting arm.
    9. Adjust zoom and focus using the knobs on the side of the camera, then use the OSD joystick to adjust camera settings (see OSD manual).
    10. Disconnect the power supply and service monitor connector.
    11. Put the sunshield on the camera.
    12. Do a final test of the video camera and monitor.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Check
    Screen is blank Camera and monitor are powered up; power supply polarity is correct; video cable is connected properly
    Screen image is dim Clean the lens; check the light source is adequate
    Poor contrast Adjust the monitor's contrast knob; change camera position
    Image flickers or is distorted Change the position of the camera
    Camera case is hot / IR LEDs won't turn on Check that the correct power supply is in use

    Compliance & Warranty

    Users and installers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all national, state, and local laws related to monitoring and recording audio and video signals. This equipment has been tested and complies with FCC Part 15 Class B limits. Warranted against defects in material and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of sale to the original consumer, limited to repair or replacement at SECO-LARM's option.
