Installation manual for the Seco-Larm ENFORCER SA-026 — a low-voltage miniature timer module for adding an adjustable activation delay to momentary contact switches.

Overview

The SA-026 is a compact, low-voltage timer module operating on 12–24V AC or DC. It modifies the activation time of a momentary contact switch for 1–60 seconds via a field-adjustable VR (variable resistor) rotary knob. It's ideal for electrical or electromagnetic locks that lack a built-in time delay function.

Sample Application: Fail-Safe Electromagnetic Locks

The SA-026 sits between a trigger device (push-to-exit switch, keypad, or control panel) and an electric exit locking device (magnetic lock or electric strike). Terminal connections on the unit include:

• Buzzer O/P (+) and (-) — drives a beeper
• Relay O/P (N.C.), (N.O.), (COM) — connects to the locking device
• TRG. (COM), (N.C.), (N.O.) — connects to the trigger switch
• Power (non-polarity) x2 — connects to a 12–24VDC power supply

Note: the terminal legend is also printed on the back of the PCB.

Warranty

This SECO-LARM product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship under normal service for one (1) year from the date of sale to the original consumer customer. SECO-LARM's obligation is limited to repair or replacement of any defective part if the unit is returned, transportation prepaid, to SECO-LARM. This warranty is void if damage results from acts of God, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper repair or alteration, abnormal usage, or faulty installation.
