    Overview

    The SECO-LARM Enforcer® EV-N2506-2W4Q is an IP fixed turret camera with a 1/2.7" 5MP SMARTSENS CMOS sensor, H.265/H.264 tri-stream encoding, True Day & Night ICR mechanism, and weather-resistant IP66 housing. It's powered by 12VDC or PoE (802.3af) and supports ONVIF Profile S and Profile G for integration with third-party NVR/VMS systems.

    Camera Layout

    The top of the camera houses the Micro SD card slot, a Reset button, and a Micro SD/Reset button compartment. Connections include an RJ45 Ethernet jack, a DC Jack, and a DC Plug with terminal block.

    Before Starting — Precautions

    • Read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
    • Use the camera only within its rated temperature and electrical limits.
    • Do not point the camera at the sun — heat can damage the sensor even when the camera is off.
    • Do not mount in areas exposed to radiation, strong magnetic fields, or strong electrical signals.
    • Do not open or disassemble the camera — there are no field-serviceable parts inside.
    • Do not drop the camera or subject it to strong vibrations.

    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC power supply wire and an RJ45 Ethernet cable through the wall to the mounting location. The 12VDC wire is not needed if using PoE.
    2. Install and run the "Device Config Tool" software on a computer connected to the same network as the camera.
    3. Click "Search" to find IP cameras on the network (may take several seconds). Default IP address is 192.168.1.168.
    4. Once found, click the camera's IP address in the tool, or type the IP manually into Internet Explorer.
    5. Configure a static or dynamic IP as needed. Example static configuration: IP Address 192.168.0.10 (last octet customizable), Netmask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS1/2 can be copied from your PC's network settings (for internet access).
    6. Log in with username and password "admin". On first login, you'll be prompted to set a new password. If the password is forgotten, hold the RESET button on the camera for about 10 seconds, then reload the Device Config Tool.
    7. To access the camera's web interface, you'll be prompted to download and install the Active-X web plugin.
    8. Once installed, you can view live video and modify configuration settings.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Checks / Solutions
    Screen is blank Check camera is powered up; check power supply polarity is correct; check monitor is powered up; check the video cable connection.
    Screen image is dim Clean the lens with a soft, clean cloth; check the light source is adequate.
    Poor contrast Adjust the monitor's contrast knob.
    Image flickers Change the position of the camera.
    Image is distorted Change the position of the camera.
    Camera case is hot Check that the correct power supply is in use.

    Warnings & Compliance

    • Warning: Stop using the camera if you notice a malfunction such as smoke or unusual heat — this could cause fire or electric shock. Do not open the case; there are no user-serviceable components inside.
    • Users and installers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding audio/video monitoring and recording. SECO-LARM is not responsible for use in violation of any laws.
    • FCC Part 15 compliant — operation subject to the condition that the device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Unauthorized changes/modifications could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
    • No changes to the antenna or device are permitted, per FCC RF exposure compliance requirements.

    Warranty

    Warranted against defects in material and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of sale to the original customer, under normal service. SECO-LARM's obligation is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts (transportation prepaid to SECO-LARM). Void if damage results from acts of God, misuse/abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair/alteration, improper usage, or faulty installation. SECO-LARM is not liable for special, collateral, incidental, or consequential damages.
