    ADA compliance documentation for the RYSE GR-0102 SmartShade, a retrofit motorized window shade controller designed for accessible operation.

    Overview

    RYSE SmartShades are designed to meet key accessibility requirements for window treatment controls, making them well-suited for ADA-compliant buildings, senior living facilities, and other environments where accessible operation is required.

    ADA Standards Met

    Standard Requirement
    ADA Standard 9.2.2(5): 4.27.3 Window shade controls easily placed within 54" of the floor for side approach, or 48" of the floor for forward approach.
    ADA Standard 9.2.2(5): 4.27.4 Easy-to-operate controls that do not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist.
    28 CFR 36.304(b)(4) Nondiscrimination on the basis of disability by public accommodations and in commercial facilities — removal of barriers. Control of window treatments is easily accomplishable and able to be carried out without much difficulty or expense.
