Overview

The IPK-1 provides easy access and convenient control to a room or zone using any of the following Russound audio systems: MCA-66, MCA-88, MBX-PRE, or MBX-AMP. While Russound audio systems can be controlled by app, many users prefer a dedicated keypad that's always available without pulling out a phone, navigating to the Russound app, and finding the desired room. The IPK-1 intuitively controls a system without interfering with your lifestyle — for example, the volume LEDs only illuminate when volume is adjusted, and the status LED turns off when the audio system is not in use so it won't light up a dark bedroom at night.

Keypad Controls

• Favorite Buttons (1–4): Press to play a pre-stored Favorite; press and hold to store the currently playing content as a Favorite.
• Skip Back: Press once to return to the beginning of the currently playing track; press twice quickly to play the previous track.
• Skip Forward: Press to skip to the next track.
• Volume Up/Down: Press to adjust volume in small increments; press and hold to ramp volume quickly. The volume LEDs briefly turn on to show the current level.
• Play/Pause: Press to toggle between Play and Pause.
• Power (MCA-Series Zones): Press to toggle the zone on or off — if a source is actively playing and selected for the zone, it begins playing immediately when turned on. Press and hold to send an "All Off" command turning off all compatible Russound devices.
• Power (MBX-Series): Press to stop the currently playing music. Press and hold to send an "All Off" command turning off all compatible Russound devices.

Installation

Mounts in a single-gang electrical box using CAT-5 wiring, a mounting bracket, and screws.
