Product specifications for the PulseWorx KPLD Keypad Load Dimmer Controller — an all-in-one UPB keypad controller and 350W dimmer/switch, 6- and 8-button versions.
Product specifications for the PulseWorx KPLD Keypad Load Dimmer Controller — an all-in-one UPB keypad controller and 350W dimmer/switch, available in 6-button and 8-button versions.
The Keypad Load Dimmer (KPLD) combines the functionality of PulseWorx's KPC Keypad Controllers with a 350W dimmer switch in a single package, available in 6-button (KPC-6 style) and 8-button versions. It transmits and receives UPB (Universal Powerline Bus) digital commands over existing electrical wiring to remotely turn on, off, and dim its own lighting load as well as trigger scenes throughout the home.
The KPLD can be a member of up to 16 links or scenes — program each button to trigger a different scene, control specific lights, or the whole house, with lights ramping to a desired brightness from 0.8 seconds to 1 hour. Some lights can dim slowly while others turn off instantly, all with a single button press. It ships pre-programmed with 7 preset scenes for inviting moods out of the box.
The dimmer controls incandescent, low-voltage halogen, magnetic, or dimmable electronic transformer loads, with a non-dimming mode available for loads like fluorescent lights that require switching only.
Each keypad also functions as a high-quality, versatile UPB transmitter — able to transmit messages (including current light level) on keypad presses, configured via UPStart Setup Software. Each controller monitors and controls up to six different devices or scenes, with built-in LEDs showing the status of each.
The 6-button version has six backlit horizontal pushbuttons plus a vertical rocker pushbutton; the 8-button version has eight horizontal pushbuttons. Both are available in seven colors: White, Ivory, Almond, Light Almond, Black, Brown, and Gray.
Wiring: Main Circuit Breaker Panel — Line "Hot" (Black), Neutral (White), Load (Red), 120V AC 60Hz — connects to the KPLD controlling the load.
