    Full text manual (for reference)

Quick start guide for the Presto Printing Mailbox — a countertop device that receives and prints email, photos, and PDF documents over a standard phone line.

    You're Just Four Steps Away

    Step 1 — Unpack

    • Unpack all the items from the box (place the box flat on a table, grasp the mailbox, and pull the entire assembly out onto the table).
    • Confirm you have: the Presto Printing Mailbox, User Guide, power cord and adapter, sample plain 8.5x11" paper, phone cord, and print cartridge.
    • Remove the bag, tape, and plastic film from the printer.
    • Remove the two orange shipping inserts.

    Step 2 — Activate

To receive email, photos, and PDF documents, you need to activate your Presto service. If the Printing Mailbox was a gift, a friend or family member may have already done this for you.

    • If you (or a friend) have internet access, visit www.presto.com and click the "Presto Account Sign Up" link, then follow the online instructions.
    • Or call toll-free at 800-919-3199.

    Step 3 — Connect

    1. Plug the provided phone cord into the back of the Printing Mailbox in the jack labeled "1-LINE." Plug the other end into an available telephone jack.
    2. (Optional) To keep a telephone in the same location, plug it into the other rear jack labeled "2-EXT." The Printing Mailbox and your phone share the same line — no second line needed.
    3. Connect the power cord and adapter, plug the adapter cord into the power jack on the rear of the unit, then plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
    4. The Printing Mailbox will perform a system check. When the blue light stops blinking, the check is complete.

    Step 4 — Load

Note: Do not touch the copper-colored area on the print cartridge. The Printing Mailbox must be plugged in before inserting the print cartridge.

    1. Remove the print cartridge from the pouch and pull the pink tab to remove the tape.
    2. Open the Printing Mailbox cover fully, pushing back gently until it stays open.
    3. Insert the print cartridge into the opening on the right-hand side, pushing forward until it clicks into place.
    4. With the cover still open, gently slide paper forward into the paper tray until it stops.
    5. Close the cover. When the blue light glows continuously, the Printing Mailbox is ready. Within a few minutes it will make its first call to the Presto Service and print a message — "Welcome to Presto" means setup is complete; "Action Required" means you should follow the on-screen steps to finish setup.

Your Presto Printing Mailbox connects to the Presto Service at scheduled times throughout the day. Keep it plugged into the telephone line and electrical power at all times to automatically retrieve and print email, photos, and PDF documents.
