Instruction/installation sheet for the On-Q/Legrand 6-Port Network Interface Module (AC1000/AC1001).
Instruction/installation sheet for the On-Q/Legrand 6-Port Network Interface Module (AC1000/AC1001) — a structured wiring interconnect for residential networking, punch-down mounted in an On-Q Service Center Enclosure.
The On-Q/Legrand 6-Port Network Interface Module (P/N AC1000) provides a convenient structured interconnect for residential networking applications. It has six Category 5e rated RJ45 connectors typically punched down to room locations. Services such as internet access over a switch/router are then jumpered to the locations using front-panel jacks (jumpers sold separately). The module ships with a mounting bracket for any On-Q Service Center Enclosure, and can also be mounted Bay-style for higher-density multi-bay applications.
The 6-Port Network Interface Module (P/N AC1000) consists of a bracket, a plate, and six Category 5e rated RJ45 inserts.
Note: Part number AC1001 is also available (without inserts) to allow use of any dealer-selected Keystone inserts.
Cat 5e cables from room locations are punched down onto the inserts following T568A recommendations. Use of a tool such as the On-Q Palm Tool (P/N 364378-01) is recommended to aid the punch-down operation. The inserts are then installed into the plate.
