OEM Systems AW-100WV & AW-IMP100WV — Outdoor Volume Controls Specifications

The AW-100WV and AW-IMP100WV are high-performance outdoor 100-watt in-wall/in-box volume controls from OEM Systems, commonly used with outdoor landscape speaker systems. The AW-IMP100WV impedance matching model can be configured to maintain a safe system load when multiple controls and speakers are connected on the same amplifier line.

How It Works

Both controls use autoformers to efficiently transfer power from amplifier to speaker — the electrical equivalent of a gearbox in an automobile, with each of the 12 volume positions acting as a different "gear." The AW-IMP100WV adds an impedance multiplier selector (1X, 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X) that protects the amplifier by maintaining a safe impedance load as more speaker pairs are added to a zone. The 1X position allows use in ordinary single-pair applications.
