Owner's manual for the OEM IO-510 2-way indoor/outdoor cabinet loudspeaker, covering box contents, features, installation with U-bracket or optional double-swivel bracket, and specifications.

    Full text manual (for reference)

The IO-510 is a 2-way indoor/outdoor cabinet loudspeaker featuring a sealed, port-less design that resists moisture and insects. It ships with mounting hardware and is available in white (IO-510W) and black (IO-510B) finishes.

    Features

    • Sealed, port-less design enclosure prevents bugs and moisture from entering the cabinet

    • Elegant cover conceals and protects connection terminals
    • Rust-proof, perforated aluminum grille, epoxy painted for long life in high-humidity and salt-air environments
    • All cabinets, grilles, and brackets are paintable to match your decor

    Installation Using the Included U-Bracket

    1. Determine the installation location. Ensure the structure can carry the speaker's weight — locate over a stud or other support, especially for horizontal mounting. On sheetrock, use suitable hardware such as toggle anchors (not supplied).
    2. Measure the hole-spacing on the bracket and transfer the dimensions to the mounting surface.
    3. Install the attachment hardware, drilling holes as necessary. (In most installations the bracket must first be removed from the speaker so it can be tightened to the mounting surface without obstruction.)
    4. Remove the endcaps by pulling the back end away from the enclosure.
    5. Remove the bracket from the speaker by loosening and removing the brass thumb screws that hold it in place.
    6. Screw the bracket to the mounting surface (either set of holes — slots or keyholes — may be used). If wire comes through the wall, it can be passed through the center hole in the bracket.
    7. Prepare the wire for termination by stripping back the insulation approximately 1/2" (13mm).
    8. Remove the terminal cover from the back of the speaker by pulling back on the bottom of the cover at the enclosure's relief point.
    9. Attach the speaker to the bracket, finger-tightening the thumb screws.
    10. Rotate the speaker into position so the input terminals can be accessed.
    11. Pass the wire through the cover and connect it to the input terminals, observing polarity.
    12. Snap the terminal cover into place and rotate the speaker to the desired direction.
    13. Tighten the thumb screws (a screwdriver may be used to ensure they're secure).
    14. Re-install the endcaps.

Installation Using an Optional Double Swivel Bracket

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the bracket itself. To prepare the speaker: remove the endcaps by pulling the back end away from the enclosure, then loosen and remove the brass thumb screws holding the original bracket. Remove that bracket and replace the thumbscrews, tightening them securely with your fingers. Slip the front edge of the endcaps into the available grooves and press them back into place, ensuring they engage the thumbscrews. The double-swivel bracket attaches to the back of the speaker using 1/4-20 screws or bolts (typically about 1/2" to 5/8" long, depending on bracket thickness). You will need to remove the terminal cover from the back of the speaker as described above.
