    Product specification sheet for the Linear WS15Z-1 Z-Wave Wall Mount Switch — a 120 VAC, 15A radio-frequency controlled wall switch supplied with a decorative switch plate.

    Overview

    Linear's family of Z-Wave certified wireless lighting controls (switches, dimmers, outlets, and plug-in modules) brings intelligent wireless capability to commercial and residential environments. The Z-Wave wireless protocol is an international standard for remote home automation, security, and other applications; the embedded Z-Wave smart chip enables two-way RF communication among hundreds of Z-Wave enabled devices from multiple manufacturers.

    The WS15Z-1 allows remote ON/OFF control of loads connected to the switch and is easily wired in place of a standard wall switch. It integrates with other Linear Z-Wave enabled products and can also act as a wireless repeater to help ensure commands intended for another device in the network are received — useful when a device would otherwise be out of radio range.

    Replaceable Trim Ring

    The WS15Z-1 has a field-replaceable trim ring — the color of the device can be altered with the Trim Ring Kit, available in black, brown, almond, and ivory.
