Overview

The Humidity Sensor and Fan Control continuously monitors room air and automatically turns on the ventilation fan when it detects a rise in humidity, helping reduce mold and mildew. It features easily adjustable settings for sensor sensitivity, humidity level, and automatic time-out to meet the specific ventilation needs of a room. Operating the fan only when needed (rather than continuously) also reduces energy usage.

Note: This sensor does not independently eliminate condensation — it must be used with a properly sized and rated ventilation fan in an enclosed space.

Operating Modes

Air Cycle Mode

For areas requiring periodic ventilation on a regular basis. When activated, the device automatically turns the fan on for a set period each hour (e.g. 20 minutes ON / 40 minutes OFF) and repeats continuously — useful for particularly humid or damp areas like basements or home spas.

Manual On Mode

For immediate ventilation needs, press the fan icon to manually switch the fan ON or OFF. The fan runs for 10 minutes (adjustable) and automatically shuts off. If humidity levels change during that time, the sensor shifts back to automatic mode and times out accordingly.
