Product bulletin for the Leviton Decora Home Controls (DHC) HCS10-1SW — a 10 Amp Scene-Capable Wall Switch Receiver Module for powerline-carrier home automation.

Overview

The HCS10-1SW Switch Receiver Module controls loads up to 10 Amps in single-pole (one location) or 3-way (multi-location) applications when paired with a Cat. No. MS00R-1 Multi-Remote unit. It offers quieter manual and remote ON/OFF switching for incandescent, fluorescent, or low-voltage lighting loads, and adds Scene Control capability when used with the DHC Scene Controller HCCS7-10W.

Application

• Residential ON/OFF single-pole, 3-way, 4-way, and higher-level switching — not for dimming applications.
• Works with incandescent, inductive, and resistive loads (e.g. attic fans, fluorescent lighting).
• Automates on/off at preset times via DHC programmers, with manual override always available.
• Supports easy shutdown via manual or remote control from multiple locations.

Note: A Cat. No. HCA02-10E Coupler/Amplifier/Repeater should be installed at the main panel in every DHC installation to ensure adequate signal strength.
