    Installation instructions for the Leviton 47609-EMP Telephone Patching Expansion Board — expands a 4-line T568A telephone distribution system to seven additional locations for use in Leviton Pre-Configured Structured Cabling Panels.

    Description

    The Telephone Patching Expansion Board is designed to fit easily into Leviton's Pre-Configured Structured Cabling Panels. Working in conjunction with the Category 5e Voice and Data Module, the Telephone Distribution Module, and other Structured Media™ Modules, this product expands the four-line T568A telephone distribution system to seven additional locations. It consists of one 110 D4 connector bridged to seven 8P8C connectors and mounted on a printed circuit board. Incoming telephone service is terminated on the 110 connector, or by patch cord to one of the seven 8P8C connectors.

    Installation — To a Pre-Configured Structured Cabling Panel

    Structured Cabling Panel without Clips

    1. Align the board with an appropriate, empty Pre-Configured Structured Cabling Panel opening (cutout). Ensure the screw holes on the panel opening match the screw holes on the Expansion Board.
    2. Using the provided screws, secure the Expansion Board to the panel at alternate corners.

    1. Align the Expansion Board with an appropriate, empty Pre-Configured Structured Cabling Panel opening (cutout).
    2. Insert the bottom of the Expansion Board into the slot and push the top into the clips. The clips will click and secure the board into place.

    110 Wiring Termination

    Wire the 110 D4 connector according to T568A standards.

    • To prevent electrical shock, each opening must be filled with a module.
