Installation and setup instructions for the Legrand AU7002 LyriQ Digital Audio Input Module — a network streaming source input for the lyriQ distributed audio system.

    Overview

The AU7002 streams digital media content, acting as a source input for the lyriQ distributed audio system. It connects to a lyriQ distribution module (such as the AU1002) via a Cat 5 jumper cable and to the home network via a separate Cat 5/LAN connection.

    Physical Installation

In the enclosure, run a Cat 5 jumper cable from the AU7002's "Distribution Module Source (Single)" jack to the single source input jack on the lyriQ distribution module. Also run a Cat 5 cable from the AU7002's "LAN" jack to a switch/router. This device is verified to comply with FCC Part 15 Class B.

Configuration / Binding to the System

    1. Download and run the "NuVo Player" app on a smart device (iOS or Android). On the first screen, select "Set up my new system" (do not select the non-functional bottom option).
    2. If "Control my system" was selected by mistake before binding, press "Reset Controller" or wait for the screen to time out.
    3. Select "I do not have a NuVo Gateway", then confirm "I understand, continue".
    4. Since the AU7002 isn't yet bound, no zones will be visible — press "Next" to continue. Confirm the AU7002 LED is lit solid green (powered), then press "Next" again.
    5. Press/release the physical "Bind" button on the front of the AU7002 to bind it to the lyriQ system. Once binding completes, the LED changes to solid white and you can press "Next".

    Configuration / Adding a Zone

    1. Name the zone when prompted, then press "Next". On the following screen, press "Done" (you will not add a second zone for the AU7002).
    2. Select your location, press "Next" to reach the registration screen, and either register now or select "Later".
    3. Press "Finish" on the Setup Complete page to return to the control app.

    Operation: Playing Music

To activate a zone, drag its icon onto the active playback area. Use the "Pause House" icon to pause music (note: this only pauses the AU7002's stream, despite the "Pause All" label). Select "Music Library" from Settings or the top "Select Music" area to browse streaming services, or add your own music server via the free Nuvo Music Share software (available at nuvotechnologies.com under Support). Set volume to approximately 75% for optimized sound quality; tapping the volume slider toggles mute.

    Software Updates

When a new firmware update is available for the AU7002, a pop-up notifies you with the option to update now or later. Selecting "Continue" shows update details and an "Install Now" option.

    LED Status Reference
