Product overview guide for the La Crosse Alerts TX60U-IT Wireless Remote Temperature/Humidity Monitor with optional external probe and online alerting.
Product overview guide for the La Crosse Alerts TX60U-IT Wireless Remote Temperature/Humidity Monitor — a wireless ambient sensor (with optional external temperature probe) that uploads readings to your La Crosse Alerts online account for remote monitoring and text/email alerts.
This document provides general product information and specifications only. Complete set up and activation instructions are online at www.lacrossealerts.com. First, create an account, then choose model TX60U-IT on the website to begin the step-by-step setup process. Enter the key from the included Activation Key Card when prompted.
Use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to remotely monitor ambient temperature and humidity affecting your home, second home, office, or rental property. The 6-foot detachable dry probe measures temperature of air outside a window, or inside a refrigerator or freezer. Text and email alerts can flag power outages to help protect property or prevent frozen pipes.
Additional equipment needed (not included): two fresh AAA alkaline batteries, two-sided tape as needed, a browser with high-speed internet, and a network router.
(A) Wireless Ambient Temperature & Humidity Monitor:
(B) Optional Temperature Probe on 6 ft. Detachable Cable: Wet and dry temperature probes sold separately; attach a probe at any time with no need to reset the sensor. Attach a dry probe (Model #D000.101.BG) to monitor dry environments like air or soil, or a wet probe (Model #D000.102.BG or D000.103.BG) for wet/humid conditions such as a pool, aquarium, or terrarium. The socket on the sensor is ONLY for the external probe — do not insert a power plug into it.
Activation info: the included Activation Key provides 1 year of Enhanced Service (early-warning text and email alerts) plus 4 more years of Basic Service (standard remote monitoring) — a total of 5 years.
Important: Before permanently mounting, test the sensor in the desired location for at least 1 hour to confirm good reception. Confirm consistent readings in your online account before permanently mounting — move the sensor closer to the Internet Gateway if signal is lost or not received.
Attach the mounting bracket to the bottom or top of the sensor and place it on any flat surface.
Once activated and building a measurement log, you can download data as a CSV file (viewable in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, or similar applications).
A low-battery icon appears on the LCD when batteries run low, and you'll receive an email or mobile text alert — change the batteries immediately. The LED light turns on briefly after changing batteries and then turns off to save power. Previously stored data is not affected by a battery change.
