    Device Configuration

    Adding to a Z-Wave network

    1. Follow the instructions for your Z-Wave certified controller to add a device to the network.
    2. Once the controller is ready to add your device, press the program button on the smart switch.

Once added, you can control the switch's ON/OFF state via groups, scenes, schedules, and automations set up on your controller — and remotely from a mobile device if your controller supports remote access.

If prompted for the S2 security code, refer to the QR code/security number on the side of the box, or the QR code label on the product itself. Enter the 5-digit code.

SmartStart: This product can also be added to a Z-Wave network by scanning its QR code with a controller that supports SmartStart inclusion — no further action needed, and the product will join the network automatically within 10 minutes of being powered on within range.

    Removing/resetting the device

    1. Follow the instructions for your Z-Wave certified controller to remove the device from the network.
    2. Once the controller is ready to remove your device, press the program button on the smart switch.

    Returning to factory defaults

    1. If plugged in, unplug the switch from the receptacle.
    2. Press and hold the program button for at least 3 seconds while plugging the switch back into a receptacle.

Note: Factory reset should only be used if your network's primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
