Product brochure for the HomeSeer PRO-100 hardware home automation controller, integrating lighting, HVAC, security, and A/V control.
Product brochure for the HomeSeer PRO-100 — a dedicated hardware home automation controller running HomeSeer software, designed to integrate lighting, appliances, security, HVAC and infrared (IR) devices under one system.
HomeSeer Technologies was formed in 1999 to serve the home automation community. Its first product, HomeSeer v1.0, became the world's first web-enabled, voice-controlled home automation program. The PRO-Series division was created to address the needs of home automation integrators and installers, offering hardware controllers designed for quick, easy installation and rugged, reliable operation.
The PRO-100 is a hardware controller that brings the power and flexibility of HomeSeer software into a compact, rugged, easy-to-install unit. It's an open-standards system, so dealers can integrate best-of-breed components from a wide range of manufacturers rather than being locked into one ecosystem.
Designed to be the most reliable home controller available — no moving parts, no hard drive, and no cooling fan to break down. Runs on an embedded operating system for a stable, low-maintenance software platform.
Managed entirely through any web browser, on-site or remotely. Dealers can remotely manage the unit, add/change schedules, or troubleshoot issues without a truck roll.
Very small footprint (11" W x 7" D x 2" H). Fan-less, so it can be installed in cabinets or areas with limited ventilation.
The embedded software, including the user interface, is fully customizable. An API allows creation of custom software plug-ins to support custom hardware. A scripting interface supports VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, and VB.NET, providing an easy way to send binary or ASCII commands to serial devices. Custom interfaces are built and modified using standard web (HTML) technologies.
Events can be triggered by many conditions: status change of any device, absolute time, sunrise/sunset (with offset), email received, security panel events, matched infrared, recurring intervals, I/O events from controllers, plug-in events, or RS-232.
Event actions can include: sending lighting control signals, playing sounds or text-to-speech, sending email, running a script, triggering another event, dialing a network connection, media player functions, plug-in functions, web camera functions, and phone functions.
