    Quick start guide for the GreenField Direct Clamp-On Actuator — an electric motorized actuator that clamps onto an existing manual ball valve (copper piping only) to enable remote open/close control.

    Important Safety Note

    This product is only intended for installation on copper piping. Do NOT install on pipe material other than copper.

    Tools Needed

    • 7/16" Crescent Wrench
    • 3/8" Crescent Wrench
    • 5/32" Allen Wrench

    Pre-Installation Checklist

    • Determine the direction of open/close for the installed manual ball valve.
    • Determine which side of the manual ball valve has at least 6 inches of clear space along the pipe from the solder connection to the pipe.
    • Ensure the pipe and valve are at least 2 inches from any obstruction, such as a wall.
    • Ensure a power source is within 6 ft. of the Clamp-On Actuator.

    If the 6" of clear space is on the non-handle side of the manual ball valve, mount the actuator accordingly; if it's on the handle side, make sure clearance around the actuator's handle distance clears the manual ball valve handle.

    The full illustrated exploded-parts diagram and 5-step assembly sequence (including alignment check) are shown below. The 3/4" Adapter Sleeve (Part A) is only used when installing on 3/4" pipe.
