    Full installation and programming manual for the GE Security Quik Bridge Loop Receiver — lets you add up to 16 Learn Mode wireless sensors (two per zone), 45 Keychain Touchpads, and panic button transmitters (61 wireless transmitters total) to any standard hardwire control panel.

    Product Summary

    The Quik Bridge Loop Receiver monitors alarm, battery, tamper, and supervisory status of transmitters learned into its eight zones. It is compatible with control panels designed with hardwire loops where the loop negative is ground (common-loop ground).

    Transmitter & Control Panel Compatibility

    Compatible with all current Learn Mode™ sensors (319.5 MHz), panic button transmitters, and 2/4-button Keychain Touchpads. Compatible panels (one or more versions supporting common-loop ground) include ADT SafeWatch, Ademco 4110XM/Vista 10/Via 30P, C&K System 236, DSC PC1550/Power 832 PC5010, First Alert FA 1330C, Moose Z1100e, Napco Magnum Alert 1008e/M, and Radionics D9112B. If your panel isn't listed, test for compatibility (see below).

    Caution: Not directly compatible with powered loops (2-wire smoke/glass-break loops) — connecting directly can permanently damage the receiver; a relay must be installed for powered loops.

    Compatibility Testing

    1. Turn off/remove control panel power and disconnect the backup battery.
    2. Use an ohm meter to measure resistance between the negative side of the loop and panel ground. If resistance is zero or near-zero, the loop is compatible; if not, a relay is required.
    3. Repeat for each loop to be connected.

    Receiver Operation Overview

    A single DIP switch controls the mode: switch up = Program Mode, switch down = Run Mode. Main components include antenna terminal blocks, Select (SEL) and Advance (ADV) switches, tamper switch, DIP switch, LEDs, and the receiver terminal strip (numbered 1-8 zone outputs, B, S trouble outputs, T test output, GND, GND, +12V).

    Zone Outputs

    Eight zone outputs (1-8). When a learned transmitter activates, the corresponding output switches to alarm state for at least 3 seconds until the transmitter restores. Zone 7 doubles as RF Jam Detect (trips after a 30-second constant signal) if no transmitter is learned into it — learning a transmitter into zone 7 disables jam detection. Zone 8 doubles as Receiver Cover/Antenna Tamper if no transmitter is learned into it — learning a transmitter into zone 8 disables tamper detection.

    Trouble Outputs

    • B (Low Battery): activates when a learned transmitter reports low battery; clears when a good-battery signal is received from the same transmitter.
    • S (Supervisory): activates if a supervised transmitter fails to report for four hours.
    • T (Test/Piezo): momentarily supplies 5VDC each time a transmitter sends an alarm signal — connect an optional piezo here for RF testing only.

    LED Indicators & Power LED States

    Blinks off momentarily Received an RF signal (learned or not)

    In Run Mode, zone LEDs indicate alarm/tamper (on = open, off = closed/unused); the yellow Low Battery LED and Supervisory LED flash in sync with the affected zone's LED to help diagnose which zone/transmitter has the issue.

    Installing the Receiver

    1. Discharge static electricity before handling circuit boards (touch bare metal or wear a grounding strap).
    2. Remove the receiver's cover by pressing down on the top center.
    3. Press down on the lower right corner of the base until the lower right latch releases the circuit board.
    4. Pull the circuit board away from the top two latches and set aside.
    5. Hold the base against the mounting surface and mark the three mounting holes — leave at least 10" above the base for the antenna.
    6. Remove the base and install anchors if studs aren't present.
    7. Mount the base on the wall with the provided screws.
    8. Replace the circuit board — slide the top under the two top latches, then press the bottom until it snaps under the lower right latch.

    Installation guidelines: leave 10" above the receiver for the antenna; avoid moisture-prone areas; avoid excessive metal or electrical wiring (furnace/utility rooms). If mounting on metal is unavoidable, ensure the antenna extends above the metallic surface.

    Connecting the Antenna

    1. Loosen the inside terminals of the left and right antenna terminal blocks.
    2. Insert an antenna end into each inside terminal.
    3. Tighten the terminal screws.

    Powering the Receiver

    1. Turn off/remove power from the panel and disconnect the battery.
    2. Wire receiver GND and +12V terminals to a non-switched 12V supply output on the control panel, observing correct polarity.
    3. Turn on/apply power to the panel.

    Zone Planning Guidelines

    • Keychain Touchpads: up to 45 supported. All learned Keychain Touchpads control the same zone outputs (e.g. if Touchpad #1 is learned into zone 1 and #2 into zone 2, both control both zones).
    • Zone 1 — Lock & Unlock together: learnable only into zone 1 (still allows 2 additional sensors in zone 1); causes a momentary alarm on zone 1. Total panic buttons + touchpads learned into zone 1 cannot exceed 45.
    • Zone 2 — Lock or Unlock button: provides a maintained (toggle) output, typically for a maintained keyswitch (arming/disarming). Pressing lock arms, unlock disarms.
    • Zone 3 — Lights button: switches the zone 3 output (momentary default, or maintained/toggle).
    • Zone 4 — Star button: switches the zone 4 output (momentary default, or maintained/toggle).
    • Zone 5 — Lock button: alternative to zone 2, switches zone 5 output.
    • Zone 6 — Unlock button: alternative to zone 2, switches zone 6 output.
    • Zones 2-6: keychain touchpads and other sensors cannot share the same zone.
    • Panic Buttons: zone 1 for up to 45 unsupervised transmitters; zones 2-8 for supervised (2 per zone).
    • Wireless Sensors: learn into remaining unused zones (2 per zone); both sensors in a zone must share the same expected response type (delay, instant, interior, 24-hour).
    • Zone 7 (RF Jam Detect) and Zone 8 (Tamper Detect) auto-monitor unless a transmitter is learned into them.

    Programming the Receiver

    Learning Wireless Transmitters

    1. Enter Program Mode by sliding the DIP switch up (low battery/supervisory LEDs blink back and forth; zone LEDs light for already-learned zones).
    2. Press/release ADV until the desired zone LED turns on.
    3. Press/release SEL once to select that zone for learning (zone LED stays on, trouble LEDs stop flashing).
    4. Trip the transmitter(s): activate the tamper switch (sensors with tamper switches) or put the sensor in alarm (sensors without). Each learn causes the zone LED to blink once. For Keychain Touchpads: zone 1 = lock+unlock together, zone 2 = lock or unlock, zone 3 = lights, zone 4 = star, zone 5 = lock, zone 6 = unlock.
    5. Slide the DIP switch down to stop learning in that zone. Repeat for other zones.

    Deleting Wireless Transmitters

    1. Enter Program Mode.
    2. Press/release ADV until the desired zone LED turns on.
    3. Press and hold SEL for 5 seconds to delete all transmitters from that zone (LED turns off).
    4. Slide DIP switch down to return to Run Mode.

    To delete a Keychain Touchpad, repeat for each button learned into a zone — it's fully deleted only when all its learned buttons are removed.

    Configuring Zone/Trouble Outputs N/O or N/C

    1. Enter Program Mode.
    2. Press the tamper switch once to access zone output config (low battery LED turns on/flashes).
    3. Press/release ADV to the desired zone.
    4. Press/release SEL to toggle N/C (zone LED on) / N/O (zone LED off).
    5. Repeat for each zone; slide DIP switch down to exit.

    For both trouble outputs: press the tamper switch once, then ADV nine times (until all zone LEDs are off) to reach trouble outputs, then SEL to toggle (low battery LED on = N/C, flashing = N/O).

    Configuring RF Supervision

    All 8 zones default to supervised. Enter Program Mode, press the tamper switch twice to access supervision config, then ADV/SEL to toggle each zone (LED on = supervised, off = unsupervised). Note: Keychain Touchpads are never supervised; panic buttons in zone 1 are not supervised.

    Configuring Keychain Touchpad Zone Output Response

    Zone outputs 3-6 can be momentary or maintained (toggle). Enter Program Mode, press the tamper switch once, ADV to the desired zone (3-6), then SEL to toggle (LED off = maintained, on = momentary).

    Garage Door Opener & X-10 Applications

    Garage Door Opener via Relay

    1. Learn the star button of a 4-Button Keychain Touchpad into a zone (3-6).
    2. Configure the zone output as N/O, momentary.
    3. Connect a relay to the zone output, then connect the relay's COM and N/O contacts to the garage door opener activation terminals.

    X-10 Light Control

    1. Learn the lights button of a 4-Button Keychain Touchpad into zone 3.
    2. Configure zone 3 N/O (LED on when lights on) or N/C (LED on when lights off).
    3. Configure zone 3 output as maintained.
    4. Match unit/house code dials on the Powerflash Interface Module to the Lamp Module(s); set input switch to B, mode switch to 3.
    5. Connect receiver terminal 3 to the Powerflash Interface Module's negative (-) terminal, and receiver GND to its positive (+) terminal.
    6. Plug in the Powerflash Interface Module and Lamp Modules.

    X-10 Garage Door Opener Control

    1. Learn the star button of a 4-Button Keychain Touchpad into a zone (3-6); configure as N/O, momentary.
    2. Match unit/house code dials on the Powerflash Interface Module to the Universal Module; input switch to B, mode switch to 3.
    3. On the Universal Module, set the lower-left switch to momentary and lower-right to relay only.
    4. Connect the zone output terminal to the Powerflash Interface Module's positive (+) terminal, and receiver GND to its negative (-) terminal.
    5. Plug in both modules, then connect the garage door opener wires to the N/O relay connection on the Universal Module.

    Connecting to a Control Panel

    Four wiring configurations are supported depending on the panel loop type: supervised N/O loop (with EOL resistor), N/C loop (with EOL resistor), non-supervised loop, and a relay-based configuration for powered loops. Multiple normally-open loop receiver zone outputs can be connected in parallel to panel zone inputs.

    Testing RF Reception

    Test two ways: (1) count LED flashes when transmitters are tripped, or (2) count beeps from an optional piezo beeper connected to the T (test) and GND terminals. Make sure the DIP switch is down (Run Mode), then trip all sensors and observe/listen.
