    GE Security PrecisionLine dual-technology motion sensors — including the pet-immune RCR-PET — combine precision-controlled microwave and passive infrared (PIR) technologies for reliable, adjustable coverage in residential, pet-owning, and commercial applications.

    Overview

    PrecisionLine sensors reduce installation and training time since no complicated adjustments are required — a simple jumper switch selects from a variety of precise range settings ("Coverage-on-Demand"). The sensor works like sonar, transmitting radar signals that "ping" the coverage area and bounce back on the same path; objects out of range are ignored, and the sensor calculates an object's size and distance to distinguish pets from people. The RCR-PET model is factory-calibrated to ignore animals up to 80 lbs while still detecting human-size objects. A radar-only mode (available on all models except RCR-PET) offers quicker detection for high-security installations, plus stealth mounting.
