    Application

    Configuration (via ElkConnect App)

The ElkConnect app must be installed on the mobile device used to configure the E27 Alarm Engine.

    1. Launch the ElkConnect app and connect to the E27 Alarm Engine.
    2. From the main menu, navigate to the System Settings page. Tap the toggle beside "Use Z-Wave" to enable, then tap SAVE.
    3. The main menu now displays a new "Automations" section. Tap Automations, then tap Z-Wave Devices to view all included Z-Wave devices.

    Including New Z-Wave Devices

Before starting inclusion, familiarize yourself with the steps required to include the specific device(s) — these steps vary from device to device. If a device has already been included into a Z-Wave network, it must be excluded from that network first before it can be included in a new one (reference the device's manual for how to default it if exclusion isn't possible).

    1. Tap the + icon in the top right corner of the screen, then tap Inclusion.
    2. Perform the required steps at the device to include it into the new network.
    3. The AEZW will recognize the device and confirm it has been included — click OK.
    4. Repeat for additional Z-Wave devices.

Devices are automatically assigned a class type based on data provided during inclusion. Each device must also be assigned an "Entity," which maps it to the correct item within its assigned type. For more information, refer to the Z-Wave section of the E27 Knowledge Center.

    FCC / IC Compliance
