    Installation instructions for the Ecolink WST-400 Wireless Tilt Sensor — a battery-powered 433MHz tilt sensor commonly used to monitor garage door position for security systems.

    Enrolling the Sensor

    Each unit has a label with a unique 6-digit serial number. You'll need this serial number to add the sensor as a contact to your security system. Refer to your specific control panel or wireless receiver's installation instructions for details on adding a new contact.

    Tilt Sensitivity

    The tilt sensor activates when the device reaches approximately a 45-degree angle. You can adjust this angle by a few degrees by moving the internal ball sensor up or down. The device has an approximately 1-second delay built in to eliminate false alarms caused by wind and vibration commonly experienced on large garage doors.

    Mounting

    Mounting screws and double-sided tape are included. For a reliable bond with the tape, ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry. Apply the tape to the sensor, then to the desired location, and apply firm pressure for several seconds. Avoid mounting the tape at temperatures below 50°F — though after 24 hours the bond will hold even at low temperatures.

    Replacing the Battery

    The sensor sends a low-battery signal to the control panel when it's time for a replacement.

    1. Remove the screw securing the top cover, then remove the cover to reveal the battery.
    2. Replace with a CR123A battery, ensuring the "+" side faces the direction indicated on the device.
    3. Reattach the cover and replace the screw to secure it.

    Ecolink Intelligent Technology Inc. warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. Excludes shipping/handling damage, accident, abuse, misuse, ordinary wear, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
