User's manual for the DistinctlyCanadian JAS200-F09, JAS500-F11, and JAS500-F15 Wi-Fi IP cameras, covering setup, app operation (V380 Pro), alarms, cloud/AI features, and troubleshooting.

Supported Networks

• Wi-Fi mode: requires a router connected to your smartphone.
• AP hotspot mode: the factory default. You must start here for first-time installation. With no router, only live view, local recording to a Micro SD card, and alarm sound are available (no cloud features).
• 3G/4G/LTE mode: uses your smartphone's cellular data to access the camera remotely; cannot be used for initial installation.

Firmware: Upgrade the firmware first via the app (Settings > General > Firmware version) to unlock the full feature set. The app notifies you when a new version is available.

App Overview (V380 Pro)

• Quick menu: access to core functions from the main screen.
• Add camera / display mode switch: add new cameras or change how the device list is displayed.
• Alarm on/off: equivalent to Arm/Disarm — tap the icon to toggle; the change may take a few seconds depending on Wi-Fi status.
• Cloud storage: only active if a cloud service package was purchased; needed for AI human-detection playback.
• Camera sharing: invite another user by email (they must have the V380 Pro app and an account). They accept the invite from Profile > Messages. Shared users get limited permissions.
• Delete camera: removes the device from your account.
• Alerted alarms: push-notification images appear here; tap to view the full alarm message.
• Device list: swipe between multiple installed cameras (card or list mode).
• Video demo: built-in tutorial and demo clips.

Profile Menu

• Messages: login history and camera-sharing invitations.
• Album: saved images/videos — play back, snapshot, share, or delete.
• FAQ: common questions by category.
• Settings: new alarm notification (sound/vibration), login history, clear cache, region selection, app version/about, and account exit.

Device Settings

• General: view/edit device nickname, username, and password (Device ID is fixed). Change the camera password periodically for security.
• Device time / time zone: set to your local time. During Daylight Saving Time, manually shift the time zone forward one hour (e.g. Pacific → Mountain) and shift it back when DST ends — the device does not auto-adjust.
• Network: reconnect to a different router or switch back to AP hotspot mode.
• Video record: format the Micro SD card, check remaining capacity, and configure Continuous Recording (24-hr), Alarm Record (record only on alarm), and Record Audio (check local laws before recording audio, especially for business use).
• Alarm: set alarm on/off, alarm schedule, alarm zone/area, and alarm sound on/off.
• Language: English or Mandarin voice prompts.
• IP: automatic (recommended) or manual IP configuration.
• Prompt sound: enable/disable device voice prompts.
• Additional alarm devices: applies only to certain camera models.

Cloud and AI Service

Tap the cloud icon on the main screen to purchase a new package or renew an existing one. New purchases: tap Subscribe and Pay Now; renewals: tap Renew this package. Accept the Terms of Service, then choose a payment method (PayPal, credit card, or Visa Debit). Payment confirmation is sent by email; there may be a short delay before cloud/AI functions activate. The AI feature detects human bodies specifically for alarm alerts.

Disclaimer: Wi-Fi performance depends heavily on your network environment (service provider, bandwidth, physical barriers, router quality, etc.), so camera functions cannot be guaranteed and are subject to errors/omissions.

Viewing and Playback

Tap Play on the main screen for live video with on-screen controls. Recorded files can be replayed from either the Micro SD card or Cloud storage. 360° fisheye camera models support multiple display modes (5 total) for viewing wide-angle footage.

A PC Windows app is also available (supports 16+ channels) — download link is provided on the manufacturer's site.
