    Instruction/installation sheet for the DataComm Electronics 50-3331-WH-KIT (Small) and 50-3332-WH-KIT (Medium) Flat Panel TV Cable Organizer Kits — recessed low-voltage cable management plates for behind flat-panel TVs and A/V equipment.

    Overview

    These kits let you install low-voltage cables behind a flat panel TV, amplifier, or other audio/video device using recessed cable plates designed for use with low voltage / data cables only. The recessed cable plates can be installed upright or upside down.

    Parts Included

    • Two (2) recessed cable plates
    • Two (2) low voltage mounting brackets

    Tools Needed

    • Drywall saw
    • 6 ft. tape measure
    • Pencil
    • Screwdriver

    Installation

    1. Determine the location of your flat panel TV, amplifier, or A/V device.
    2. Allow for stud location when cutting the hole in the wall for the low voltage mounting plate bracket.
    3. Mount the low voltage mounting bracket in the cut opening using the enclosed instructions.
    4. Pull your audio/video cables through the mounted bracket, then through the recessed cable plate.
    5. Insert the recessed cable plate into the mounting plate bracket and secure tightly to the wall using the supplied wall plate screws.

    Important Warnings

    • These recessed cable plates are designed for use with low voltage / data cables only.
    • Do not run or pull the TV power cord or other electrical cords inside the drywall — the National Electrical Code (NEC) does not allow installation of a TV power cord or extension cord behind the wall.
    • Never install low voltage wiring during lightning storms.
    • Never install low voltage wiring in wet locations unless the wire is specifically rated for wet locations.
    • Never touch un-insulated low voltage wires or terminals unless disconnected at the source.
    • Do not use this product near water — bathtubs, sinks, wet basements, swimming pools, etc.
