    Installation guide and specifications for the Channel Vision IC608 6.5" In-Ceiling Speaker — a cost-effective, easy-to-install ceiling loudspeaker.

    Overview

    The IC608 is a 6.5" in-ceiling loudspeaker featuring a polypropylene woofer with a butyl rubber surround and a small perforated designer grille. Recommended power is 120W (peak). A rough-in bracket kit is sold separately.

    Installation

    1. Use the provided template to mark and cut a 7.7" hole in drywall, away from ceiling joists.
    2. We recommend wiring with AWG 16 or larger stranded wire.
    3. For proper phasing, both voice coils must be wired alike. Connect red wires to red terminals on the speaker and to red/plus terminals on the amplifier.
    4. Install the IC608 in the hole and tighten the mounting screws. The mounting dog legs rotate outward and grip the drywall.
    5. To control speaker volume locally, use an impedance-matching volume control such as the Channel Vision VC-302.

    Limited Warranty

    Channel Vision Technology will repair or replace any defect in material or workmanship occurring during normal use, with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge in the USA, for ten years from the date of original purchase. No mail-in warranty card is required, but a purchase receipt, invoice, or other proof of original purchase date will be required before warranty repairs are provided. The warranty does not cover shipping damage, failures caused by other products not supplied by Channel Vision Technology, or failures due to accident, misuse, abuse, or alteration.
