Installation guide for the Channel Vision C-0330 8-output bi-directional amplified splitter with modulator combiner and IR pass-through, including cascading and specs.
Installation guide for the Channel Vision C-0330 (CVT-2/8PIA-III) — a bi-directional amplified splitter with 8 outputs, a built-in modulator combiner, and IR pass-through, designed for whole-home CATV/antenna distribution.
The CVT-2/8PIA-III (C-0330) is an 8-output amplified splitter with a built-in combiner for modulated signals. It allows IR signals to pass through the modulator input to the TV outputs, making it a perfect match for the Channel Vision E2200IR, E3200IR, or E4200IR IR distribution systems.
Accessories included: Power supply (12VDC, 500mA) and 75-ohm terminators.
Connect the C-0330 at the main distribution point in the house. It supplies amplified TV signal to up to 8 TV locations. Terminate any unused outputs with the included 75-ohm terminators.
The C-0330 can be cascaded for systems requiring more than 8 outputs. Each of the 8 outputs of a "Master" C-0330 can feed the input of an additional "Slave" C-0330, creating a system with up to 64 TV outputs using a total of 9 units.
The IR engine built into the E2200IR, E3200IR, and E4200IR can support up to 8 TV locations with IR receivers. When expanding to more rooms, an IR-4000 can power 8 additional IR receivers, supporting up to 15 TVs and 15 IR receivers total. Any TV location without an IR receiver needs to be DC blocked using model 3109.
The C-0330 can be integrated with the Channel Vision Affinity model P-0321 to send modulated signals through a system with some TVs on digital cable boxes and some without. An RF filter removes digital content from TVs without digital boxes, allowing modulated channels to be inserted without interference — while the P-0321 preserves digital content for locations that do have digital boxes. See the P-0321 installation manual for further details.
